Our company has been selected as a 2023 Gyeonggi Family-Friendly Best Workplace.

Gyeonggi Province certified 65 companies in the region as “2023 Gyeonggi Family-Friendly Best Workplaces” for exemplary family-friendly management, and held a certification award ceremony on June 30th at the Gwanggyo Hall of the Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency.

The ceremony was attended by approximately 120 people, including Yeongmi Yoon, Director of the Women and Family Affairs Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, Jaegyun Kim, Chairperson of the Women, Family, and Lifelong Education Committee of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly, and representatives from the certified companies.

The “Gyeonggi Family-Friendly Best Workplace” certification program aims to create a family-friendly workplace environment by identifying and certifying exemplary companies operating family-friendly systems in the province, and providing various benefits (up to 50 types).

The province launched a call for applications in May. A total of 127 companies from the region participated with great interest. Following document reviews, on-site inspections, and certification committee evaluations, 65 companies were finally selected: 35 newly certified and 30 re-certified.

Evaluation criteria included:

• Operation status of family-friendly systems

• CEO’s interest and commitment

• Company stability

• Employee satisfaction

Among the newly certified companies, Gounsesang Cosmetic Co., Ltd. (Seongnam), a cosmetics manufacturer, has enhanced work engagement by implementing a 7.5-hour workday and flexible working hours, along with a responsible work system allowing up to two days of remote work per week. ITnerus Co., Ltd. (Seongnam), a management support platform specialist, operates a flexible annual leave and staggered working hours system to help employees balance childcare responsibilities and actively promotes family activities through its annual “ITnerus Spring Festival.”

The province awarded certified companies with certificates, plaques, and certification marks under the name of the Governor of Gyeonggi Province. In addition, certified companies will receive various benefits across 50 items managed by seven institutions, including preferential interest rates for SME development funds.

In particular, newly certified SMEs can receive up to 2 million KRW in “Family-Friendly Program Operation Support Funds” to support employee health management, labor environment improvements, and family-friendly management education.

Certification is valid for three years from the date of certification through 2026. Afterward, companies may apply for re-certification and maintain their status for another three years upon approval.
